Community Employment Specialist - On Call

About The Position
HireAbility offers a customized employment program to assist individuals living with an intellectual disability, mental illness, physical disability, or chronic disease by preparing them for employment. This is an on-call position responsible for providing coverage when regular staff are unavailable, including filling in for scheduled or unscheduled absences as needed.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of the local job market.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned caseload to develop, change and track results of the job seeker’s goals.
- Match a job seeker's interests and abilities with available jobs.
- Look for new employers and nurture relationships with existing employers.
- Conduct an assessment of each job seeker, focusing on total life experiences, not just work history, and interest.
- Support job seeker in obtaining an interview for identified jobs.
- Attend interview if needed.
- Support participants currently employed to increase skills, abilities, hours, duties, and authority as desired by the participant.
