About The Position

This Community Employment Program Specialist, Adjustment Services Instructor position is located at the WorkSource West Facility in Morganton, NC. This position provides curriculum-based training to persons with disabilities, in all areas of the Vocational Skills Training Program at WorkSource West to help clients obtain the skills needed to prepare for and secure competitive employment. This position may assist with transporting clients and materials/supplies using agency vehicles.

Requirements

Valid North Carolina driver's license required to drive state vehicles
Bachelor’s degree in a human services or business field such as human resources, marketing, business administration, business management, healthcare management, or public administration from an appropriately accredited institution; or Associate’s degree in a human services or business field (identified above) from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related work experience; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) and four years of directly related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Assessing and teaching training programs to individuals with disabilities using established curriculums.
Teaching appropriate work behaviors, including productivity and safety awareness, in a real work situation using hands on skills training.
Managing workstation set-up, workflow, and quality assurance processes.
Providing orientation and supervision to clients participating in the training program.
Documenting provision of services provided in accordance with the client's rehabilitation plan and agency policy.
