Requirements

  • A positive attitude, willingness to serve, a history of excellent customer service experience, and a desire to lead a team with integrity.
  • Proven ability to mentor, develop, and promote associates.
  • A minimum of 5 years in the multifamily industry (Leadership in the hospitality field will also fulfill this requirement).
  • At least 2 years of experience managing and leading a team of multi-family professionals.
  • An associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, two- three years of related training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.

Nice To Haves

  • CAM, or IREM certifications is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and develop your own team.
  • Provide a positive onboarding experience, hands-on training, and effective communication of community goals and expectations.
  • Continually coach your team to success, handle annual performance reviews, frequent individual associate check-ins, and support additional training classes and requirements as necessary.
  • Lead your team by example, problem solve with them, and make the final decision on any major concerns that affect the community operations.
  • Empower your team to be confident in handling their responsibilities, but offer support when necessary.
  • Ensure your team follows all emergency procedures, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure that your team actively practices the 5% Distinction with excellent customer service.
  • Approve and sign all final lease decisions and agreements.
  • Promptly address and resolve any resident concerns, complaints, or moments that need attention.
  • Support your Assistant Community Director with resident retention efforts and continually keep open communication with residents.
  • Manage budget preparation, financial reporting, and flow of community income to maximize NOI while providing a positive resident and associate experience.
  • Ensure that your community is in excellent condition through regular inspections, vacant apartment home inspections, office cleanliness, amenity equipment upkeep, and more.
  • Support your Service Manager in managing inventory, approving vendor contracts, and ensuring all safety practices are followed properly.
  • Attract new residents and form business relationships through outreach marketing, online marketing efforts, resident event business sponsorships, and more.
  • Keep Regional leaders, senior management, and owners informed of what is happening at your community.
  • Directly interact with future and existing residents in our communities.
