About The Position

Keystone Human Services is seeking a casual/per diem Community/Direct Support Professional Float to provide individualized, person-directed support to people with autism. The work focuses on inclusion and building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and participate fully in society. This is a non-exempt position paying $19.00 per hour, or $21.00 per hour with a bachelor’s degree. The role supports individuals’ independence, health, community participation, and social engagement. It includes assisting with daily living activities, transportation, medication administration, medical appointments, and the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs).

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Effective communication and proficient computer skills.
Valid driver’s license and daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
Use of a personal vehicle to transport individuals within the community.
Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications.

A bachelor’s degree qualifies the employee for the stated rate of $21.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

Encourage independence, decision-making, and community participation to promote valued social roles.
Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and meal planning and preparation, and promote overall health and wellness.
Provide transportation and support for community activities, employment, and social engagement as needed.
Maintain positive, professional interactions with individuals supported, their families, and stakeholders, and coordinate services as needed.
Administer medications according to policy, schedule and attend medical appointments, and implement physician orders as directed.
Participate in designing, coordinating, and implementing ISPs and attend plan meetings.
