Salaried position, flexible and variable schedule including night, evening, and weekend hours to accommodate position requirements including being assigned weeks on the on-call rotation, treatment and supervision services for clients, availability outside of normal business hours to assist staff and community partners, routine travel and training. - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in any field, and experience equal to four years of full-time work in human services, criminal justice, or corrections.
- A total of eight years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as a Probation/Parole Officer 3.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of residential officers to ensure effective client supervision and professional growth.
- Manage staffing schedules, leave requests, performance evaluations, and daily facility operations.
- Provide direct mentorship through regular meetings, feedback, and training on correctional best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions.
- Oversee continuous quality improvement efforts, monitoring staff development and client outcomes.
