Part-time/Full-time Overnight Community Corrections Specialist

This position combines direct interaction with residents, monitoring responsibilities, and documentation to ensure residents remain compliant with program expectations. Candidates who are extended a conditional offer must complete an exhaustive background check process prior to beginning employment, which includes a criminal background check, drug screen, professional reference check, employment check, and PREA institutional employer checks. Requirements
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Proficiency in the use of computers, including use of the internet and Microsoft Office
- Must be a female employee to ensure required female staff coverage on assigned shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Some college education focused in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience working with criminal justice treatment programs.
Responsibilities
- Signing residents in and out of the facility and verifying approved movements
- Confirming employment schedules and other approved activities
- Monitoring resident accountability through GPS systems and other tracking tools
- Conducting breath tests, urinalysis testing, and other compliance checks
- Performing pat searches, room searches, and vehicle searches
- Completing incident reports and documenting resident activity
- Maintaining safety and security within the facility while interacting professionally with residents
