About The Position

Centre is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as a Community Corrections Specialist. This role offers hands-on experience in community corrections, developing skills for careers in law enforcement, parole and probation, or corrections. Requirements

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Proficiency in the use of computers, including use of the internet and Microsoft Office
• Must complete an exhaustive background check process prior to beginning employment, which includes a criminal background check, drug screen, professional reference check, employment check, and PREA institutional employer checks.

Nice To Haves

• Some college education focused in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
• At least two years of experience working with criminal justice treatment programs.

Responsibilities

• Signing residents in and out of the facility and verifying approved movements
• Confirming employment schedules and other approved activities
• Monitoring resident accountability through GPS systems and other tracking tools
• Conducting breath tests, urinalysis testing, and other compliance checks
• Performing pat searches, room searches, and vehicle searches
• Completing incident reports and documenting resident activity
• Maintaining safety and security within the facility while interacting professionally with residents
