Centre is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Community Corrections Specialists. This role offers hands-on experience in community corrections, developing skills for careers in law enforcement, parole and probation, or corrections. Requirements
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Proficiency in the use of computers, including use of the internet and Microsoft Office
- Candidates who are extended a conditional offer must complete an exhaustive background check process prior to beginning employment, which includes a criminal background check, drug screen, professional reference check, employment check, and PREA institutional employer checks.
Nice To Haves
- Some college education focused in Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- At least two years of experience working with criminal justice treatment programs.
Responsibilities
- Signing residents in and out of the facility and verifying approved movements
- Confirming employment schedules and other approved activities
- Monitoring resident accountability through GPS systems and other tracking tools
- Conducting breath tests, urinalysis testing, and other compliance checks
- Performing pat searches, room searches, and vehicle searches
- Completing incident reports and documenting resident activity
- Maintaining safety and security within the facility while interacting professionally with residents
