About The Position

The Community Connect Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the program related to extending Singing River Health System (SRHS) EMR and other IS services to independent physician practices, outpatient clinics, and hospitals (partners). The coordinator will be responsible for all activities including, but not limited to, the initial strategy, program development and implementation, cost model, ongoing program operations, EMR implementations, optimization, and sustained growth. As the primary interface between these partnerships and SRHS, the coordinator will work with potential partner leaders to generate interest, facilitate contracting, coordinate system implementation, go-live and post-implementation training/support with the IT project team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, project management, business administration, healthcare management or other related field (i.e Nursing).
  • If a nurse, must hold current Mississippi state license and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • 3 years of project or team leadership
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
  • Must be able to demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and apply appropriate professional skills to a patient population of all ages.
  • Must have a valid driver license as job may require traveling throughout the SRHS service area - with the employee providing his/her own transportation.

  • Master's degree can substitute for up to 3 years of experience
  • Superior customer service skills and professional etiquette.
