About The Position

In this vital role, the Per Diem Community Clinician will: provide home and community-based stabilization, clinical interventions, individual and family psychotherapy, support, service planning, advocacy and service linkage to youth authorized for service through DMH and their families provide culturally competent, trauma informed, strength-based services to children and families struggling with multiple stressors including mental health, trauma, inadequate community supports & resources, language barriers, poverty and homelessness provide 24-hour on-call consultation as required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a human service field, psychology, social work, or other clinical discipline
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience working directly with youth who have experienced serious emotional disturbance or emotional challenges to well-being and their families
  • Ability to work independently in supporting community-based caseload
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • DMH Level 1 requires Master Level and Level 2 requires Independent Licensure

Responsibilities

  • Provide home and community-based stabilization, clinical interventions, individual and family psychotherapy, support, service planning, advocacy and service linkage to youth authorized for service through DMH and their families.
  • Provide culturally competent, trauma informed, strength-based services to children and families struggling with multiple stressors including mental health, trauma, inadequate community supports & resources, language barriers, poverty and homelessness.
  • Provide 24-hour on-call consultation as required.
