About The Position

The Community Senior Center Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, programs, staff, and volunteers at a community senior center. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality congregate meals, provides information on transportation services, and develops engaging programming focused on health promotion, digital inclusion, and intergenerational collaboration. The Manager works closely with the JREC Adult Day Program and community partners to enhance services and expand outreach.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and other applications like Zoom. This position relies on technology for routine communications as well as hosting virtual events, set up of various equipment, and managing equipment assigned to the center.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive center programming.
  • Develop and introduce innovative, engaging programs and activities.
  • Exercise independent judgment in managing day-to-day program operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit monthly reports through web-based systems.
  • Oversee data collection and reporting conducted by staff.
  • Use data insights to improve program effectiveness and service delivery.
  • Supervise and support the Activity Assistant in daily operations.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional guidance.
  • Conduct regular team and one-on-one meetings.
  • Complete mid-year and annual performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate regularly with the JREC Adult Day team.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers.
  • Assign tasks that support center operations and programming.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, recognition, and support to promote retention.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings and events.
  • Promote intergenerational and inclusive programming opportunities.
  • Promote center programs and services within the local community.
  • Recruit and engage new participants.
  • Manage and update social media and outreach communications.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
  • Submit expenditures for approval and track budget utilization.
  • Provide input into budget planning and forecasting.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of organizational and participant information.
  • Adhere to all data integrity, privacy, and security policies.
  • Complete a minimum of 10 hours of professional development annually.
  • Support staff participation in training and development opportunities.
