This position works primarily in the community with Emily Griffith’s CAREERS program for refugees and immigrants who are seeking to re-enter or advance in their field. This position provides pathway navigation, academic advising, career coaching and resource referral services in the community and on campus. This position serves as the direct liaison between workforce and community partners and assists with streamlining the process for students to transition between the Adult Education and Language Learning Center programs and Career and Technical Education programs and in to the workforce. Other professional responsibilities include recruiting new students/participants; coordinating with human services agencies; consulting with faculty, staff, and administrators on a variety of issues related to student success.
