This temporary role is expected to last for up to 18 months, depending on operational needs. You will report to the Manager Member Experience and under executive direction, you will manage the overall operation of a single branch and direct the utilization of staff, equipment and facilities. Using highly developed leadership skills and behaviours, plus a sound understanding of the financial services business, you will initiate action to improve growth/development of the branch loan and deposit portfolios; increase usage of other credit union services and service channels; pursue new businesses; set short/long term branch goals /objectives and manage all branch staff directly or through subordinate supervisor(s). Through effective deployment and development of staffing resources you will foster an environment that encourages staff engagement and delivery upon an Enhanced Service Commitment to our members. You will perform the duties and requirements of Branch Compliance Officer for Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Terrorist Financing Prevention & Detection. You will be a results-oriented professional with a commitment to furthering the reputation of the credit union within the community. Through active participation in select community events, projects and initiatives, you will become established as a leader within the local community.

Requirements

  • Business degree or diploma
  • Minimum of five years of management experience in the financial industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Currently holding a supervisory or lending/account management position interested in gaining branch management experience.
