About The Position
People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a F.A.D.E. Associate (Facilitating Alternative Day Environments) to join their team. This role involves assisting adults with developmental disabilities in participating in the community and increasing their accessibility to the workforce. Activities may include volunteering at local facilities, attending events, or engaging in recreational activities. The position is part-time, offering flexible shifts during weekdays and hourly pay with a sign-on bonus and mileage reimbursement.
Requirements
- Compassionate with a people-oriented mindset
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
- CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)
Responsibilities
- Support participants in volunteering & attending events, and exploring their community
- Assist participants with transportation including their mobility aids such as wheel chairs (lifting to transfer participants will may be required)
- Encourage and model independent living skills
- Assist participants meet their goal through person-centered planning
- Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful fun activities
- Be a dependable positive impact in their day-to-day life
