Community Based Support Professional - Santa Barbara
About The Position
People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a Community Based Support Professional for their F.A.D.E. (Facilitating Alternative Day Environments) and C.I.T.P. (Community Integration Training Program) services. These programs assist adults with developmental disabilities in participating in the community and increasing their accessibility to the workforce. The role involves supporting participants in volunteering, attending events, exploring their community, encouraging independent living skills, assisting in meeting person-centered goals, promoting physical activity and engaging in fun activities, and being a dependable positive impact in their daily lives. PCS has been a leader in providing services for adults with developmental disabilities for over 20 years, with a mission to help individuals pursue career, educational, and life goals.
Requirements
- Someone who is compassionate with a people-oriented mindset
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
- CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)
Responsibilities
- Support participants in volunteering & attending events, and exploring their community
- Encourage and model independent living skills
- Assist participants meet their goal through person-centered planning
- Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful fun activities
- Be a dependable positive impact in their day-to-day life
