About The Position
Community Based Support Professional / F.A.D.E. Associate - Ventura County. People Creating Success (PCS) is seeking a compassionate and community-minded individual to join their team as a F.A.D.E. Associate. This role involves supporting adults with developmental disabilities in participating in community activities, exploring local events, and increasing their accessibility to the workforce through programs like Facilitating Alternative Day Environments (F.A.D.E.) and Community Integration Training Program (C.I.T.P.). The position offers flexible part-time hours and the opportunity to make a positive impact.
Requirements
- Someone who is compassionate with a people-oriented mindset
- Someone who is curious and wants to make connections with others and support community endeavors.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
- Responsible, and can assist in goal progress tracking
- Someone who is 21+ years old
- CPR / First Aid certification (Training will be provided if you’re not certified or need to be recertified)
Responsibilities
- Support participants in volunteering & attending events, and exploring their community
- Encourage and model independent living skills
- Assist participants meet their goal through person-centered planning
- Encourage participants to be physically active and engage in meaningful fun activities
- Be a dependable positive impact in their day-to-day life
