We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Community-Based School Clinician to provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and families within school and community settings. Position Summary: The Community-Based School Clinician provides comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and families referred through schools, truancy courts, and community agencies. This position delivers individual and family therapy, case management, crisis support, and coordinated care to address students' academic, behavioral, emotional, and social needs. Working collaboratively with school personnel, court representatives, and community partners, the clinician develops and implements effective treatment plans that support student success and family well-being. The clinician maintains an active caseload, ensures timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements, and participates in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development to promote quality services and positive client outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university.
  • Eligible for registration or licensure through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a: Registered Psychotherapist, LPCC, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LCSW, Licensed Candidate
  • Completion of a clinical internship.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience.
  • Knowledge of child development, family systems, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and the ability to travel throughout the community as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and family backgrounds.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening and pre-employment drug screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with organizational policy and Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) regulations. This screening includes initial and ongoing state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the employee has lived in any other state within the past three years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states may also be conducted.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy services for children, adolescents, and families referred through schools, truancy courts, and community agencies.
  • Support youth experiencing academic, behavioral, social, emotional, or mental health challenges through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Maintain a minimum of 22 clinical service hours each week, including therapy, consultation, and case management activities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that address client needs and support positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with school personnel, court representatives, county agencies, caregivers, and other community providers to coordinate care.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for multidisciplinary teams involved in the care of assigned youth and families.
  • Provide crisis intervention, clinical recommendations, resource coordination, and follow-up services as needed.
  • Assist with discharge planning and connect families to appropriate community resources and supports.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation, progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, and client records in accordance with agency, state, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, professional development activities, and licensure-related training requirements.
