About The Position

Responsible for serving bank customers on the Community Banking line, within the guidelines of bank policy and procedures. Often, being the first point of contact for customer questions and inquiries. Through relationship building, promote and refer appropriate bank products and services.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business or accounting curriculum.
  • Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills.
  • Proficient analytical and mathematics skills.
  • Proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Proficient eye-hand coordination.
  • Ability to operate various office machines.
  • Ability to lift approximately fifty (50) lbs. of coin.
  • Visual and auditory skills.
  • 1 year of customer service or related experience preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to travel between offices, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties efficiently and accurately including processing deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks, preparing wire transaction requests, selling various financial instruments, accepting payments, processing night drop and mail deposits, providing outstanding customer service, building and maintaining customer relationships, promoting bank products and services, referring customers to appropriate team members, maintaining an organized workstation, preparing and scanning daily work, processing general ledger accounts, collecting customer information for BSA reporting, processing coin counting services, cross-selling various bank products, and settling and processing ATM transactions.
  • Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the unit or department as well as with other units and departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information and customer experience.
  • Must be able to perform Community Banker duties at any branch location.
  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate bank personnel.
  • Responds to inquiries or to requests from customers, other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulations and bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is expected and is an essential function of the job.
  • Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
