About The Position

Leland Management is seeking an onsite Community Association Manager for one of our communities in the Clermont, FL area. This full-time position involves managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a community, ensuring well-managed and maintained property. The role emphasizes positive response to the concerns and needs of Association Board Members and Homeowners. The Community Association Manager will act as the sole liaison for property resolutions, utilizing sound business judgment to resolve issues and conflicts. This role requires strong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to manage individual account information with utmost confidentiality. The manager will develop and monitor property budgets, coordinate and negotiate vendor contracts, and prepare monthly board packages including management reports, proposals, correspondence, and financial reporting. Daily use of company software (Caliber), Microsoft Teams, Word, and Excel documents is expected for communication, organization, and follow-through.

Requirements

  • Must be a Florida Licensed Community Association Manager.
  • Experience in an environment requiring high levels of customer service.

  • Competent in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with financial reports and budgets.
  • 2+ years of work experience in Association Management.
  • Prior people and project management experience with condominiums, apartments, hotels, time-shares, developer, townhomes, or homeowner’s associations.
  • Strong working knowledge of Florida Statute 718 (Condominium Law), including compliance, governance, and operational requirements for condominium associations.
  • Knowledgeable with Florida Statutes.
  • Proficient with understanding and executing the requirements of the governing documents of an association.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Ability to communicate with the team is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Association Software such as Caliber.
  • Experience managing RV resorts or lifestyle-driven residential communities.
  • Knowledge of hospitality or resort operations, with an emphasis on resident and guest experience, amenity management, and service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of an on-site community or a portfolio of communities to ensure excellent service.
  • Solicit bids, provide comparisons, and monitor all maintenance programs relating to the property and aesthetic appearance, building strong relationships with vendors.
  • Serve as the sole and ultimate liaison for all resolutions of the property, utilizing sound business judgment to resolve issues and conflicts.
  • Manage individual account information with the utmost confidentiality, communicating professionally both oral and written information effectively.
  • Develop and monitor property budgets on a timely basis in a manner that supports the financial expectations of the Board and Association.
  • Coordinate, negotiate, and issue vendor contracts for property services in accordance with the management agreement.
  • Prepare a monthly board package to the Board of Directors consisting of a management report outlining actions required, proposals, correspondence, and financial reporting.
  • Perform site inspections.
  • Enforce covenants.
  • Assist boards with day-to-day aspects of managing an association.
  • Prepare for and conduct association meetings.
  • Review financial reports.
  • Prepare budgets.
  • Manage projects.
  • Prepare service bids.
  • Oversee contractors.
