Community Association Attorney
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Community Associations attorney to join our practice group, with the flexibility to be based out of Cherry Hill, Red Bank, or Princeton, NJ. This is a strong fit for a transactionally-minded attorney who enjoys steady, relationship-driven advisory work over a heavy litigation caseload. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with your choice of three NJ office locations. The practice is predominantly transactional and advisory, though litigation experience is helpful but not required. You will build deep, ongoing client relationships with association boards, managers, and homeowners, and will have independent matter management within a collaborative team of partners, associates, and paralegals. The compensation includes a competitive base ($160K–$190K) plus bonus eligibility.
Requirements
- J.D. and active NJ bar admission
- 7+ years of legal experience, including work representing HOAs, condo associations, or other community associations
- Strong transactional, contract-drafting, and advisory skills
- Excellent client-service and communication skills — comfortable working directly with boards, managers, and homeowners
- Sound business and legal judgment, with the organizational skills to manage multiple matters independently

Responsibilities
- Advise homeowners associations, condo associations, boards, and managers on governance and day-to-day legal matters
- Draft and interpret governing documents — declarations, bylaws, rules and regulations
- Draft and review contracts and agreements on behalf of community associations
- Counsel homeowners on association-related rights, obligations, and disputes
- Mediate and help resolve disputes between associations, homeowners, and other stakeholders
- Guide associations on compliance with governing documents and applicable law
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with boards, managers, and homeowners
