About The Position

Housing Development Corporation MidAtlantic (HDC) is seeking a Full-time Community Assistant for our Flats 1, Flats 3, and Flats 4 Apartments in Wilmington, DE. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Successful completion of drug screening and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • One year minimum in Office Assistant or related work experience.
  • Experience with an affordable housing background.

Responsibilities

  • Operate administrative activities involved with the community.
  • Maintain a working relationship with residents and employees.
  • Assist Community Managers by maintaining updated and accurate files on all resident related items and dispatch resident work orders.
  • Assist Community Managers in maintaining positive resident relations programs assuring good public relations and tenant satisfaction programs.
  • Assist Community Managers in planning resident events.
  • Publish standard resident notification memos for review and distribution.
  • Manage security access card programming.
  • Maintain filing system for all routine reports and other deadlines required during a given week, month, and quarter.
  • Perform all other duties as directed by the Community Manager and assist the overall team effort, as needed.
