About The Position

The person hired for the position of Communications Supervisor (Innovation center Host) will be an ambassador of 3M in all areas of the company, exemplifying human resources principles and leadership attributes. They will give a voice to 3M’s innovation engine by connecting our history, technology, product/application development and corporate strategy to current business. They will partner with 3M divisions and departments to create a customized experience for Innovation Center guests. They will develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of 3M technologies and how the technologies are applied in developing custom solutions for our customers. They will manage all details associated with their assigned customer events at the Innovation Center. They will maintain the attitude and composure of a host that is showcasing the 3M environment while keeping guest needs in mind.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with 3M
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Responsibilities

  • Organize and facilitate all details related to events at the 3M Innovation Center
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of 3M Technology Platforms and demonstrations, as well as how they connect to products and each other
  • Partner with contracted building staff around event scheduling, management and general operations
  • Develop/engage with a network of subject matter experts in all disciplines across the company
  • Maintain awareness of new 3M products and market developments
  • Initiate, develop and manage special projects related to 3M World of Innovation content
  • Corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
  • Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
