About The Position

The Massachusetts Port Authority is seeking a Communications Specialist to join their dynamic organization. This role is crucial in managing critical communications and dispatch resources for both routine and emergency situations across Massport properties. The specialist will oversee gate and aircraft parking plans, monitor systems for compliance, and maintain accurate records to ensure safe and efficient airport operations. Collaboration with the FAA, Massport Operations, and partner agencies is key for issuing reports, communicating field conditions, and addressing operational or safety concerns. Additionally, the role involves monitoring security systems, responding to alarms, and maintaining compliance with TSA and Massport protocols, while also supporting emergency response and training new team members.

Requirements

Must meet one of three eligibility paths: Bachelors Degree and related aviation work experience; Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management and related aviation work experience; or Public Safety Dispatcher Certification and related experience.
Possess strong technical and communication skills.
Ability to qualify in four separate areas: Card Access; Gate Control; Operations; and Fire Alarm dispatch.
