About The Position

The Commonwealth Savers Plan is seeking a Communications Specialist to join their marketing team. This role involves developing and executing communication strategies across various channels to reach a broad audience. The specialist will also lead marketing projects and events, ensuring message consistency and timely delivery of materials. This position requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in public relations, marketing, communications
  • Experience managing small to mid-sized marketing projects with deadlines
  • Experience developing marketing plans and drafting complex communications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to large, diverse audiences in person or electronically
  • Ability to independently prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of social media measurement and analytics tools
  • Ability to work effectively within a marketing team and cross-functionally with other divisions and departments
  • Ability to proofread, maintain brand consistency and ensure high quality work
  • Ability to solve problems creatively
  • Knowledge of basic marketing concepts, strategies and tactics
  • Understanding of content strategy, writing marketing content and design basics

Responsibilities

  • Develop content and segment messaging for marketing channels including websites, landing pages, articles, email, social media, sponsorships, events, webinars, print, radio, digital ads, and press releases.
  • Serve as lead for medium and large marketing related projects and events, including planning, tracking, adjusting execution based on audience, and ensuring appropriate materials are available and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate day-to-day execution for content needs in alignment with the content calendar, ensuring message consistency across programs and audiences, on-time publication, and effective coordination with cross-functional teams.
