About The Position

As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. We’re looking for a cyber mission specialist like you to apply your experience with communications security (COMSEC) and network endpoint security tools and impact our nation’s defense. In this role, you’ll leverage your COMSEC expertise to troubleshoot and analyze complex security challenges faced by our customers. You will work with your team to leverage cyberspace operations systems to aggregate threat feeds that inform briefings for senior leadership aligned to the special access mission area. You will implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, enhancing detection capabilities and improving event correlation within large enterprises. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience maintaining cryptographic technology, COMSEC, and private key updates of end-to-end IPSEC encryption devices, such as KG-175F
  • Experience in IT with networking, cabling, or troubleshooting tasks
  • Experience performing Over-The-Air-Transfer (OTAT) of key material to remote sites
  • Knowledge of COMSEC policies and procedures
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AF SAP security compliance inspections
  • Knowledge of advanced key management systems
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI) 8500.01, DoDM 5205.07, Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1302-O, and U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800 series
