About The Position

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a highly skilled COMSEC Specialist to support the security and management of Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment, materials, and associated security processes within a federal environment. The COMSEC Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the accountability, safeguarding, handling, and proper management of COMSEC assets in accordance with federal security requirements and established policies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and experience working in a security-conscious environment involving controlled communications equipment and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience working in cybersecurity, information security, COMSEC, or a related security discipline.
  • Strong understanding of security procedures, accountability practices, and protection of sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a federal or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate security records.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal government or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs.
  • Previous experience managing COMSEC accounts, equipment, or controlled cryptographic materials.
  • Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and information assurance policies and procedures.
  • Security-related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a COMSEC specialist supporting the secure management and accountability of COMSEC equipment, materials, and associated documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventories, records, logs, and accountability documentation for COMSEC assets.
  • Ensure COMSEC materials are properly received, stored, safeguarded, transferred, and disposed of in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures.
  • Support COMSEC account management activities and maintain required documentation and records.
  • Conduct periodic inventories and reconciliations of COMSEC equipment and materials.
  • Identify and report discrepancies, security concerns, or potential incidents involving COMSEC assets.
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of COMSEC security policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Coordinate with security personnel, system owners, government stakeholders, and other authorized personnel regarding COMSEC requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate handling and protection of sensitive and classified information.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal security requirements and organizational policies.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to COMSEC accountability, inventory, and security activities.
  • Support audits, inspections, and assessments related to COMSEC operations.
  • Perform other COMSEC and information security duties as assigned.
