About The Position
The Communications Operator is responsible for handling incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls. They operate the paging system and monitor various facility alarms. Operators transfer calls accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quality customer service. This role is crucial for maintaining effective communication within the healthcare system.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience required.
- Proficient knowledge and ability to use a computer (must be keyboard proficient) and other office technology (i.e., telephone, fax, etc.), MS Outlook and Word.
- Ability to maintain collaborative and respectable working relationships throughout SRHS and other organizations.
- Ability to demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and apply appropriate professional skills to a patient population of all ages.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience utilizing multi-line phone system is preferred.
- De-escalation training completed by end of position orientation (90 days); must have appropriate level of de-escalation training.
