About The Position

Receives and transmits emergency and urgent information via radio, computer, and telephone to Protective Services personnel. Documents designated communications and events in the incident reporting system. Answers and prioritizes all emergent and non-emergent calls. Monitors CCTV cameras and access control systems. Dispatches appropriate parties to incidents that occur on or surrounding campus. Notifies Protective Services officers of incoming helicopters and EMS. Acts as a liaison by providing information regarding a visitor’s visitation at NCH or an employee’s day to day activities.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Ability to read and comprehend hospital/departmental policies and procedures, criminal statutes, and regulatory publications.
Ability to write legibly.
Sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all persons, regardless of position, ethnicity, sex, age, or economic status.
Sufficient interpersonal skills to consistently and equitably enforce the policies of the department and hospital and the ability to effectively intervene in interpersonal conflict.
Excellent customer services skills, and the ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution and/or equivalent law enforcement/military experience and training, preferred.
