About The Position

At Pace Center for Girls, we transform girls’ lives through education, counseling, training, and advocacy rooted in a gender-responsive, strength-based, and trauma-informed framework. The Communications Manager advances Pace’s voice, visibility, and influence through strategic storytelling, digital engagement, media support, and high-quality communications execution.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Five or more years of communications, marketing, public relations, or related experience.
Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.
Required to align with the Mission, Values, and Guiding Principles, maintain ethical standards, and comply with all policies and procedures of Pace Center for Girls
This position requires a Level II pre-employment background screening pursuant to Chapters 435, 984, 985 and 943, Florida Statutes, and the Department of Juvenile Justice policy and procedures.

Media relations and digital content experience.
Experience managing multiple stakeholders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Manage communications calendars, campaigns, and content across internal and external channels.
Ensure consistent use of Pace branding, tone, and messaging standards.
Create compelling stories and content that build awareness and engagement.
Support organizational communications including announcements, newsletters, leadership messaging, and key initiatives.
Translate complex topics into clear, audience-focused communications.
Assist with issues management and crisis communications as needed.
Support media outreach, public relations opportunities, and external visibility efforts.
Manage agency, vendor, and creative partner relationships as assigned.
Track results and recommend improvements based on communications performance metrics.
Performs other duties as assigned
