About The Position

As a Communications Lead on this project, you will lead our Public Affairs Team in support of our C-suite level government client with a wide range of impactful deliverables as they execute their mission of delivering scientific and technological innovation to the Intelligence Community (IC). This role directly supports the forefront of IC decision-making and involves coordination between government partners and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a communications field.
  • TEN (10) or more years of experience leading and delivering strategic communications within the federal government and/or intelligence community, leading interdisciplinary teams within the intelligence community, and supporting executive-level intelligence community customers.

  • Master's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, people management, and customer management skills.
  • Superior organization, leadership, and functional communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks across multiple individuals and ensure quality and timely delivery of end products.
  • Strong writing and editing skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience engaging with Government, academia, and industry.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and multimedia fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of web content design, development, and management fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of video production and photography fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Leading a diverse team of strategy, communications, and multimedia professionals in delivering high-quality and impactful products to drive the Government's advanced research mission forward.
  • Creating, executing, maintaining, and updating detailed strategic communication plans and campaigns.
  • Communicating with key internal and external stakeholders and facilitating strategic engagements.
  • Establishing new communication strategies, methods, and measures to improve outreach and assess impact of campaigns and engagements across the IC.
  • Supporting executive Government leaders in special needs related to outreach such as speeches, briefings, and communication surveys/tools.
  • Reviewing, maintaining, and updating weekly activity reports.
