Human Rights First’s communications department is seeking interns for Spring 2027. Interns will learn about the organization’s policy and advocacy work and how the communications department supports it through branding, public relations, and communications strategy. The role offers hands-on experience across media relations, digital content creation, writing, and video editing in a fast-paced communications team. Interns will learn to turn complex subject matter into accessible, engaging materials that connect with audiences and encourage support for human rights. The internship is unpaid and requires a commitment of 10–15 hours per week. It runs from January 29, 2027, through April 23, 2027. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program. Applications should include a resume, cover letter, and writing sample of 1–2 pages; a social media post and/or graphic design sample is encouraged but not required. Human Rights First is committed to recruiting, retaining, and developing staff from diverse backgrounds and fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes a range of perspectives.
