Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Principal RF Payload Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is developing cutting edge technology that seamlessly analyzes, fuses, and distributes multi-domain information into command-and-control systems of systems to support all domains of war. The Principal Electronics Engineer in this role will be responsible for one or more of the following: Integration of airborne communications systems and components to enable real-time coordination and reliable communication between ground, air, space and naval forces Requirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation Design, analyze, configure, test, document and troubleshoot communications systems Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams and specifications Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) subsystems to meet platform mission objectives Technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test support Perform informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements A successful Principal Electronics Engineer has good leadership skills and understands the scope of the work and the impact of the work on other teams, consistently brings up concerns, issues and risks to program and technical leadership and holds the team to a high level of technical rigor.
