About The Position

This is a full time position. Purpose: To oversee all church wide communications and manage the workflow of all communication teams including social media, photography, and creative video. This includes managing internal and external marketing projects that can be used for events, and other Lakeside projects and ensuring consistent and life-giving communication across all platforms.

Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).

Ability to quickly learn and excel in the use of technology.
Ability to handle multiple projects effectively and produce excellence.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Proficient in editing and proofreading.
Detail oriented, creative, ability to learn new software applications.
Trustworthy to keep confidential information.
Positive approach to problem solving.
Must be solution oriented.
Self-led with a pursuit of excellence through attention to detail and follow-up.
Ability to strategically plan and market for major events and conferences.

Experience producing video and visual content is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee all communications including internal and external messaging, advertising, social media, print publications, public relations, and video content.
Ensure a consistent brand and voice across all campuses, service elements, environments and platforms. This includes coordinating with live hosts and speakers on any additional information that needs to be communicated from the platform.
Oversee and approve all social media posts, strategies and calendar planning. This includes developing marketing plans for all events, conferences, and ensuring that the social media accounts fulfill the vision and standard of Lakeside.
Collaborate with the communications team to oversee project development, provide constructive feedback and edits, and approve final versions for presentation during services.
Manage all mass communication from MailChimp including a monthly newsletter and event related communication.
Run and create Marketing Ads for church wide events.
Lead and oversee monthly Announcement planning meeting and schedule.
Oversee photography and creative video ensuring Lakeside continues to improve in video and image execution.
Oversee and assist with pre-production, cast selection, shot list, and script writing for testimonies and all other promotional creative videos.
Video direct all scheduled shoots ensuring Lakeside standards are being met.
Provide hosts and Lead Pastor with verbiage for weekly announcements and ensure information is delivered accurately from stage or video.
Assist with all public communication responses including responding to social media comments and messages as well as maintain list of prewritten responses.
Develop the skills of those on the communication teams (including social media, photography, and creative video) ensuring they are continuing to grow in their skills and leadership.
Drive results and keep accountability with communication teams as needed.
Manage YouTube backend systems and optimize the overall front-end appearance.
Manage and oversee The Lakeside Church Podcast and plan the content schedule, cast and production of videos.
Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute video or verbiage elements needed for Sunday experiences and events.
Provide support to Lakeside Kids and Lakeside Students social media volunteers or staff by approving their content and meeting with them to plan and vision cast for those accounts.
Manage and oversee the operation of various social media accounts for Lakeside Church.
Lead and oversee the Church Online ministry by recruiting, training, equipping, and scheduling volunteers; managing online service experiences; fostering engagement with online attendees; ensuring alignment with the church’s communication, discipleship, and ministry goals.
Stay current on communications trends, constantly look to grow and improve.
Conduct research and partner with other like-minded churches regarding their approach to communications and ministry excellence.
