About The Position

As a Director within our McDonald’s practice, you are a critical pillar of the "Three-Legged Stool." You serve as the senior strategic lead for the Northwest Owner/Operator Cooperatives, acting as their primary business counselor and brand protector. In this "player-coach" role, you are responsible for the strategic roadmap and accountability of the NW account, while providing vital field support to McDonald’s Corporate. You lead a dedicated Tactician to ensure that local insights and reporting are delivered to both our clients and corporate partners in real-time, enabling data-driven action plans across the system.

Requirements

  • 12-15+ Years PR/Public Affairs Experience: Deep experience in QSR, Franchise Models, or CPG/Grocery is essential. You must understand the "speed of retail."
  • Boardroom Presence: You are a confident, high-EQ counselor who can navigate a room of 20+ successful, independent business owners.
  • The "Translator": You can take complex corporate policy and turn it into actionable, high-impact intelligence for local business owners.
  • Relentless Accountability: You take personal pride in "delivering the plan" and managing budgets with total transparency.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Client Counsel & Accountability
  • Cooperative Partnership: Serve as the primary agency face to the NW Owner/Operator Boards. You own the relationship, lead the boardroom presentations, and secure "buy-in" for regional PR strategies.
  • Budget & ROI: Full accountability for the regional PR budget. You mustdemonstrateclear value and ROI to the Owners, ensuring their investment drives local "Brand Love" and business growth.
  • System Collaboration:While your focus is the NW, you will collaborate with our agency leads in markets like DC, Philly, and Chicago to ensure regional strategies align with national goals.
  • Corporate System Support: Recon & Liaison
  • Field Intelligence: Act as the "eyes and ears" for McDonald’s Corporate Government Relations and Crisis leads. You provide the local "recon" (regulatory trends, local activism, stakeholder sentiment) that allows them to build effective national strategies.
  • Actionable Reporting: Ensure that critical field data is synthesized and delivered to both our clients and corporate partners, serving as the connective tissue between local reality and corporate planning.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and cultivate relationships with local community leaders and NGOs, managing the "license to operate" for the brand in the NW.
  • Crisis & Issues Support (Non-Media Lead)
  • Monitoring & Feedback:Oversee hyper-local media and social monitoring (via your Tactician). You are responsible for reporting local developments back to Corporate so they can lead the media response.
  • Operational Alignment:Ensure local Owners are briefed on Corporate-mandated crisis protocols, ensuring the local system is synchronized with the national response.
  • Team Leadership
  • Mentorship:Direct and develop a regional Tactician who handles day-to-day execution. You are responsible fort heir growth, output quality, and discipline in reporting.
