About The Position

The Communications Consultant will lead employee communication initiatives within EPIC’s national Communication & Engagement (C&E) practice. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategic, multi-channel communication campaigns that support clients’ employee engagement and benefits education goals. This is a highly consultative position that partners closely with internal teams and clients, directly impacting the success of EPIC’s Employee Benefits practice and long-term client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8 years of experience in communications, with a strong preference for employee benefits or healthcare industry experience
  • Experience working in a client-facing or consultative environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong storytelling ability with a talent for simplifying complex information
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexible, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • Experience developing compelling content; benefits-related content is a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating across teams

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic consultant for employee-facing benefits communications, from initial concept through execution
  • Partner with C&E colleagues, EPIC account teams, and clients to develop communication strategies, content, and campaign plans
  • Create clear, compelling, and engaging communications across multiple channels, including digital, print, and in-person formats
  • Translate complex benefits information into easy-to-understand messaging that drives employee action and engagement
  • Ensure all content meets high editorial standards and is optimized for both audience and delivery channel
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, establishing priorities and workflows to ensure timely, accurate delivery
  • Collaborate with and oversee third-party vendors supporting print, digital, and online communication initiatives
  • Play a key role in building, maintaining, and managing content libraries and communication assets
