About The Position

The Communications Assistant within the USC Student Health Communications Department will assist with day-to-day operations of the department, as well as projects, metrics, and student outreach on campus. This position in particular will act as a liaison between USC Student Health and the international student community.

Requirements

  • Degree in a related field.
  • 6 - 12 months Entry level Communications professional with experience working in higher education communications.
  • Must also be fluent in Chinese and English; oral and written skills.
  • Excellent communications and written skills in Chinese and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare metrics for Communications department, including monthly data and KPIs.
  • Provide Chinese translation assistance.
  • Provide assistance with Communications department outreach to students.
  • Act as a liaison between Communications and international students that work within USC Communications.
  • Knowledge of WeChat (Chinese social media).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
