The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics is seeking a Communications and Events Professional to help shape how our research, faculty achievements, and academic initiatives are shared with internal and external audiences. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of science, storytelling, and community engagement within a dynamic academic medical environment. The successful candidate will elevate the department’s digital presence, strengthen faculty and trainee engagement, and coordinate events that bring together leading researchers, students, and collaborators. Day-to-day, this position will manage website and social media content, develop newsletters and feature stories highlighting groundbreaking research, and lead planning and execution of seminars, symposiums, faculty meetings, and community events.
