In this Communications Advisor role, you will lead and support a broad portfolio of communications programs that advance reputation and business priorities for a Chevron business segment. In an advisory capacity, you will partner with Corporate Affairs and business stakeholders to align and execute plans that support the company’s narrative and business objectives. Success in this position requires demonstrated capability across core Corporate Affairs disciplines, including communications, strategic planning and influence, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and adaptability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of Corporate Communications or Marketing experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced corporate affairs generalist with strong internal and external communications, issue management and crisis response skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written (storytelling) communications skills. Ability to stay ahead of the changing communications landscape and adapt as necessary to improve effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated experience with a broad range of communications delivery methods.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and nimbly change course as plans and business needs change.
  • Ability to build relationships and demonstrate strong collaboration skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communications strategies for company-wide initiatives, including messaging frameworks and multi-channel activation to strengthen reputation and support business goals.
  • Identify and develop 360-degree storytelling opportunities in partnership with others within the Corporate Affairs function.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders to ensure consistent messaging and activation.
  • Track, measure, and analyze communications impact to inform future communications and engagement tactics.
  • Lead communications strategy and execution for special projects.
