About The Position

Eagle Health Analytics (EHA) has contracted with CDC’s Mycotic Diseases Branch (MDB) to provide scientific support and services for laboratory, communication, and epidemiology. The objective is to support the branch in detecting and responding to mycotic diseases and providing technical assistance to U.S. jurisdictions. The Communications Specialist (II and I) will support MDB communications products and dissemination activities, adhering to CDC public health communications practices. This includes developing public and internal communication materials, web content, social media, newsletters, plain-language review, Section 508 remediation, metrics, stakeholder coordination, and emergency response surge communications. For each product, EHA will identify the intended audience, message objective, evidence source, review path, required clearance, target date, and delivery format. Communications products may include talking points, speeches, slide decks, internal briefs, prepared responses, fact sheets, web content, press materials, social media content, and newsletter content. The role will also create audience-based materials for public health professionals, healthcare professionals, high-risk populations, internal CDC audiences, partners, and the public, as applicable. Additionally, the role will support emergency or outbreak communications products such as key messages, Q&A documents, one-pagers, social content, web updates, and presentation materials. Monthly assignment and accomplishment summaries will be required, distinguishing completed products, products in clearance, products awaiting Government input, metrics reviewed, and next-period priorities.
