Communication and Community Engagement Specialist

About The Position
The Town of Cohasset seeks a creative and organized Communication and Community Engagement Specialist to support townwide communications, public engagement, media relations, and administrative operations in the Town Manager’s Office. This position will prepare news releases, public notices, FAQs, project updates, website and social media content, graphics, photos, videos, and other communication materials. The role also supports emergency and service disruption messaging, public awareness campaigns, the Town’s Annual Report, and meeting materials for the Select Board and other public boards.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in marketing or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, storytelling, social media, graphic design, and video production skills.
- Experience with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Owl Labs, Polycom, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with government communications.
