The Commodity Manager is responsible for independently managing assigned commodity categories to ensure supplier performance, cost optimization, and supply continuity. This role applies in‑depth procurement and market knowledge to develop and execute sourcing strategies, solve complex cost and supply challenges, and support business objectives through cross‑functional collaboration.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
4+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related operations roles
Demonstrated experience managing suppliers and supporting sourcing or cost‑reduction initiatives
Experience leading or supporting supplier negotiations and commercial agreements
Proficiency using data, KPIs, Excel, and ERP systems to support decision‑making

Nice To Haves

Experience sourcing medical device components or assemblies.
Experience applying Lean principles or structured problem‑solving tools in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Independently manage assigned commodities, including supplier performance, cost, and risk management
Develop and execute sourcing and supplier strategies aligned with operational and business objectives
Identify and deliver cost savings initiatives while monitoring market trends and key cost drivers
Lead and support supplier negotiations and contractual agreements
Act as a procurement resource for cross‑functional partners and less‑experienced colleagues
