About The Position

The MRO Commodity Manager manages sourcing activities and MRO service providers while building strategic relationships throughout the company. The role develops MRO category strategies, leads strategic supplier relationships, and negotiates pricing agreements and rebates. It serves as the primary procurement partner for MRO activities, overseeing more than $150 million in annual spend and supporting critical purchase orders, savings targets, and cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing operations. The position is based on-site in Highland Heights, Kentucky, and requires approximately 40% travel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, finance, operations management, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, project management, engineering procurement, or CAPEX procurement.
Proficiency with ERP systems, including SAP.
Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute MRO sourcing strategies to reduce costs, drive standardization, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support regional and global procurement initiatives.
Lead supplier management efforts, including performance reviews, KPI tracking, continuous improvement, and resolution of supply, quality, and commercial issues.
Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements covering pricing, service levels, inventory programs, payment terms, warranties, and other business terms while ensuring policy compliance.
Partner with plant teams to improve spare-parts strategies, reduce obsolete inventory, and enhance working capital.
Manage more than $150 million in annual MRO spend, support critical purchase orders, and deliver savings targets.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across manufacturing operations.
