Reporting to the Director-Strategic Sourcing, the Commodity Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain team. This role involves managing the parts acquisition process for multiple projects from concept design to stable supply chain handover for production. The Commodity Manager will coordinate supply chain activities across several projects, negotiate economical and cost-effective solutions, and manage recurring cost budgets. They will lead the execution of contractual obligations of suppliers, interface with Planners and Tactical Buyers on delivery schedules, costs, and contract inquiries, and ensure supplier adherence to operational contractual terms. The role also includes assisting suppliers with rate readiness, facilitating and monitoring cost reduction activities, coordinating industrialization commitments, reporting on new development activities and cost reduction achievements, managing design changes with suppliers, developing strategic approaches to supply chain activities for NPI and R&T, identifying opportunities for consolidated spending, proactively resolving supply chain issues, and launching RFQ packages to negotiate prices, terms, and delivery dates.
