YOUR TASKS Support in ensuring and coordinating adequate information flow between suppliers and the program buyers Support in driving commodity purchasing processes for specific Hella products, preparation of sourcing activities Align tasks and decisions with Business Partner and/or supervisor if necessary. Manage intercultural and trustful relationships by creating and adding value from international project team setups through utilizing the cultural diversity in the project. Support definition of material cost changes (budgeting) in agreement with the Hella domains and superior to create an aligned planning basis and to achieve business division objectives. Support in ensuring alignment capacity for pre-series and launch business at supplier, managing stock increases, packaging and logistics related topics in case of bottlenecks or insolvencies. Support in challenging the technical solutions for purchased parts in terms of cost efficiency and challenge the project team to ensure and overachieve targeted costs. Supporting the identification and achievement of cost potentials resulting from Design-to-Cost (DtC). For that, an understanding of the product engineering process and the material manufacturing process is needed.

Requirements

Proven working experience as a buyer within the automotive industry.
2+ years of procurement experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field
Prior experience with SAP is preferred
Exposure to electronics related products is preferred but not required

Responsibilities
