About The Position

Flex is seeking a Commodity Buyer – Facilities in Austin, Texas, to support procurement operations for Axiom sites in Texas. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the role executes and improves procurement processes and manages purchasing and sourcing related to facility operations, maintenance, repair, and facility services. The buyer oversees supplier relationships, negotiates pricing and contracts, and ensures timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining cost efficiency, quality, and compliance with company purchasing policies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, finance, accounting, or a similar field.
At least 2 years of procurement experience.
Experience and knowledge in indirect procurement commodities such as MRO, facilities, or services.
Advanced analytical, project management, and negotiation skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects with minimal oversight.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing agreements.

Responsibilities

Review and approve requisitions with stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
Lead end-to-end sourcing, guiding cross-functional teams through bid evaluation, selection criteria, supplier awards, and contracting.
Implement indirect procurement strategies to consolidate the supply base, increase managed spend, expand the Preferred Supplier List, and improve cycle time.
Manage supplier and stakeholder relationships through quarterly business reviews, timely contract negotiations, and action plans.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting capabilities, and the consultative approach to services and facilities procurement.
Use procurement tools for sourcing, requisitions, contracts, purchase orders, and supplier management.
Follow indirect procurement and financial policies and maintain compliance.
