About The Position

Shamrock Trading Corporation is seeking a Commissions Analyst to work cross-functionally with leaders in Sales, Finance, HR, and Accounting. The role ensures that variable compensation for quota-bearing employees and external agents is distributed accurately, transparently, and on schedule. The analyst processes and reviews commission calculations and reports, provides recurring and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, investigates commission variances, and works to improve and automate related processes. Additional accounting or operational projects may also be assigned.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a financial analyst, sales analyst, sales operations support professional, or commission analyst.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• High energy and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time effectively.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area preferred.
• Prior experience using Salesforce is strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand commission structures and calculations and process payments accurately and on time for multiple business units in accordance with compensation plans and internal policies.
• Prepare and review commission reports for accuracy and completeness, resolving issues through cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop and provide recurring and ad-hoc commission-related financial reporting and analysis for Sales leaders, Finance, HR, and other departments.
• Research and respond to commission-related variances raised by management or commissioned employees in a timely, diplomatic, and professional manner.
• Use information technology to analyze commission plans and predict future commissions based on sales behavior.
• Review processes and procedures for improvement and efficiency opportunities, including partnering with development to automate processes and reports where feasible.
• Identify and implement improvements to daily processes.
• Complete additional accounting or operational projects as assigned.
