Requirements

  • Self-starter with ability to manage details of multiple contractual obligations simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to create, read and understand construction documents, including electrical diagrams.
  • Skilled in drawing review, with an eye for detail and understanding of cross-checking multi-sheet construction sets for accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to consistently and accurately document project details.
  • Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Apprentice Electrician License Required
  • Valid Driver License with acceptable driving record, preferable with CDL
  • Applicants being considered for hire must pass a background check and drug test before beginning work. Refusal to submit to a background check or drug testing will result in disqualification of further employment consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Working technical knowledge of PV solar installations strongly desired
  • Experience of energy system construction desired
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally respond to stressful situations in a friendly, patient, and timely manner
  • OSHA 10 Certification desired

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inspection, maintenance, and repair of solar PV systems
  • Identifies problems and develops corrective action plans
  • Travel to project sites and vendor locations as assigned to perform all aspects of on-site installation, repair, maintenance, oversight, and modifications as required
  • Respond to emergency call outs
  • Provide timely written review reports from field operation, status, and constructive feedback to supervisor as requested.
  • Participate in electric, hydraulic, mechanical and software component inspections, testing, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and perform tracker hydraulic and mechanical equipment maintenance
  • Identify any system issue and initiate repair or RMA processes as needed
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and owners.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in identifying design issues with the third-party engineers and construction managers/supervisors for their review and approval.
  • Keep accurate records
  • Participate in O&M meetings
  • Must be able to read electrical plan sets and interpret specifications
  • Receive and interpret the post-construction documents provided by project team
  • Visit project sites for visual updates on O&M activities and prepare accurate notes of site meetings
  • Maintains adherence to Company policies, quality, environmental health and safety policies and good housekeeping practices.
  • Identifies gaps in safety standards as well as safety risks and provides recommendations to the O & M Supervisor.
  • Travel to job sites is necessary for the successful execution of tasks & responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned
