About The Position

Commissioning Technicians play an impactful role within the organization - collaborating with customers, team members and third-party partners to perform, startup, diagnostic, repair, and troubleshooting of our modular data centers. This opportunity is a site-based position with occasional nonstandard hours. There is a 40-hour guarantee (+Overtime), with most work occurring at our outside partner sites.

Requirements

An associate degree, trade/vocational certification, Military training or similar experience in electrical-related disciplines.
The ability to read blueprints/schematics.
Intermediate understanding of principles of AC and DC power, various AC and DC supply circuit components. 3-phase power understanding is a plus.
Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronics
Working knowledge of digital multi-meter
Prior experience with Switchgear or and/or UPS (Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, power distribution and switchgear, seamless automatic transfer switches (ATS), power distribution units, electrical, electro-mechanical or electronics related equipment is a plus
Prior industry experience is a plus.
English proficiency required to communicate with customers and team members.
Proficient in basic computer skills and systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel; and the ability to navigate and utilize company digital tools and resources.
Must possess good safety practices and adhere to the company’s safety procedures/polices (lock out tag out, comply with all safety programs and complete safety related training on time.
Identify hazards present in the work area and report all safety matters, incidents, near misses, to management or safety representative.
NFPA-70E or OSHA experience is preferred.
Safe driving and vehicle operations skills
Experience utilizing test and diagnostic equipment is a plus
Experience reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and operation manuals.
Work frequently requires strenuous physical tasks, including bending, stooping and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 pounds.
Work outside in a variety of environmental extremes such as heat, cold, rain, and dust.
Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time, including working in small, confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

3-phase power understanding is a plus.

Responsibilities

Travel in your local region to start up, repair, troubleshoot, modular data centers at our partner sites.
Execute approved commissioning test plans
Problem solving with commissioning technicians, electricians, manufacturing partners, technical support, and Field Service Representatives
Completion of commissioning reports and expense reports
Continuous learning and training on various products both in the field and in the classroom
Travel throughout the US or Mexico to support other manufacturing partner or customer sites outside your local region. This includes overnight travel by vehicle/air.
Assist engineers in writing commissioning test plans
Working with your Manager or engineers to resolve complex escalated issues
