The Commissioning Technician is responsible for supporting the testing, startup, verification, and turnover of building systems during the final phases of construction. This role works closely with project teams, subcontractors, design consultants, and owners to ensure all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, life safety, and building automation systems are installed, functioning, and operating in accordance with design intent and project requirements prior to owner occupancy. The Commissioning Technician plays a critical role in project closeout by performing inspections, documenting deficiencies, coordinating corrective actions, witnessing system testing, and validating system performance. This position helps ensure a seamless transition from construction to facility operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
