About The Position

As a Commissioning & Startup Manager in Clark Technologies, the Commissioning Manager verifies that designed, installed, and tested systems and equipment satisfy specified performance criteria and meet the client’s operational requirements. This position is responsible for client satisfaction, project execution, business development support, and travel related to commissioning assignments.

Requirements

Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline or relevant work experience
5+ years of construction experience required; working for a general contractor is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the commissioning process from project initiation through turnover, coordinating owners, design teams, contractors, vendors, and testing providers to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop Commissioning Plans and Commissioning Reports
Review Owner's Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD) documents and verify alignment with project commissioning objectives.
Perform commissioning-focused reviews
Maintain commissioning issues logs and coordinate resolution of deficiencies that were identified
Perform periodic construction site observations
Verify completion of equipment startup activities
Develop functional performance test scripts and procedures
Review and validate contractor, vendor, and third-party testing reports
Verify completeness of project turnover documentation
Review, coordinate, and support development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for critical facility operations and commissioning activities.
Perform fundamental and enhanced commissioning
Perform field energy audits
Perform energy analysis on rates, and energy cost savings.
Identify and provide documentation for energy efficiency project opportunities
Support management of external resources as needed
Interface with clients, contractors, equipment vendors, testing providers, and internal project teams
Provide training to plant operations on the new installed controls and systems
Prepare project proposals, budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports
Prepare monthly pay applications and review projection reports.
Record and manage equipment and material deliveries
Develop strategy for personnel development and recruiting
Establish and maintain customer relationships
Accurate forecasting of costs for job completion
Quality assurance and quality control plans and execution
Identify issues to project executives as required to ensure the success of the project
Review and approve preliminary schedules, financial projections, and cost to complete
Ensure construction site rules and procedures are implemented and followed
Coordinate with safety manager to ensure projects are completed in accordance with safety goals
